ETA CPP™ Exam

LOLA POS., a major advocate for ETA CPP™ (the Electronic Transactions Association and the Certified Payments Professional) is preparing for many of its Team Members to sit for the semi-annual exam.

With six Team Members already bearing the ETA CPP™ credential, the company is eager to have more of its staff join the ranks of the hundreds of Certified Payments Professionals nationwide.

“Being an ETA CPP™ is a distinguishing achievement in the payments industry,” Heather Petersen, CEO and ETA CPP™, says about the accreditation. “It conveys that the person is an expert in payments and has the capability to perform competently when dealing with merchant and merchant accounts.”

Knowledge and expertise in all things payments related are important features of LOLA POS., and features that Ms. Petersen strives to always improve on.

“LOLA POS always ensures that best practices are met. ETA’s Guidelines on Merchant and ISO Underwriting and Risk Monitoring is on every desk, and we keep up to date with industry publications and the governing bodies’ regulations,” Ms. Petersen reveals. “We make sure that we implement the correct resources to be successful.

ETA’s Guidelines and other resources are used in conjunction with the study guide.

“I’ve also used ETA’s extensive glossary,” Kandace Carrasco, ISO Relations, states, referring to ETA’s 286 page resource guide. “I take advantage of all professional development resources from ETA. This ETA CPP™ designation is important to me and my career, and I can’t wait to quantify my knowledge by sitting for the exam next month!”

Ms. Carrasco and many other LOLA POS Team Members are currently preparing for the exam in June, gathering together periodically to share resources, and better yet, personal experiences.

“It’s helpful to review the different portions of the ETA CPP™ study guide with my colleagues who work in different departments,” David Ortiz, Account Executive, explains. “When studying risk and PCI compliance, I gain better understanding reviewing it with our Vice President of Underwriting and Risk!”

LOLA POS. is looking forward to receiving the results from the Team Members’ exams, and hopes to see many staff names on the ETA CPP™ registry.
